Today I was walking in the back yard for a section of fence to help generate ideas to explore, when I stopped and I saw this armchair.  We have had this Adirondack chair for years with plans to make others from this pattern.  Good intensions but its a project on my back burner.

When I saw the chair and the image that I pre-visualized, it reminded me of the critics I had recently written, where I was preaching from my armchair at the desk on what is right, wrong and better with photographs. So my idea, (almost a concept), is to show this chair as a pulpit of responsibility and to write about it’s irony.

The irony of encouraging a photographic vision with content, and relevance in today art world, and how it can backfire in your own personal work. It returns to you like Karma, in the form of your own “Pretty Picture” that pays homage to those who came first but not really saying anything new. I do like this image, for it will allows me to rest while viewing it, and ponder karma. This restful moment allows me to better prepare Don Quixote on his next ride in search of visual truth.
