The violence of this water is what attracted me to point my camera at it. Ten, twenty frames and this one stood out clearly as the winner. Stephen Shore speaks about the three types of time that photography is able to display. Extruded time, where there is blur in the frame. Still time where nothing is moving but also there is no action implied. Then there is frozen time. That is when there is action implied and yet there is no blur. That’s what this shows. A split second later and all this will be in a different place. Yet with the help of a fast shutter speed I was able to stop the action and be able to inspect every drop, every bubble.
