I woke up this morning with the anticipation of what I would create, for today is my turn to post. My mind was swimming last night with images of what to make, how would I light it, what would be the concept ???Honestly it is a bit of a rush for me every time my turn comes around, to chase the ideas and be able to figure out what will grasp my attention. The Hunter Zephair desk fan became my object of desire. The curvature and angles of the metal blades gave me a myriad of reflections with which to play with. Positioning of the graceful curves of the blades was paramount to me. Each blade reflects a different tone. In my opinion just the right amount of patina is visible on this air mover. The closeness of the point of view not only brings out the little imperfections but also the history and beauty of the metal revealed in the rust. The tarnished deco shaped curves of the thin fan blade guard give a hint to the 1940’s vintage of this beauty. I wanted to honor this old fan for many years of service. And yes, she still works fine…..
