If your distracted mind is not paying attention to what is around you, you are not present. Upset or worried about your life, these ideas will inevitability create havoc around you. Clouds will close off your beautiful light source. Rain clouds may appear seemingly from nowhere and their winds will kick up dust obscuring your vision. Each of us vibrates down to our atomic cores. When vibrating in sync with others, harmony is created. You’ll notice musicians love to tell you so-and-so sings great harmonies. Hung up someplace for hours and you are frustrated about “wasting” time. Perhaps your muse will stop and ask you enough questions to get you back on track. You may not know who your muse is at first, but after awhile, he or she will be obvious. They act as a stimulant, maybe a thorn in your side, but creatively they assist you in pushing past your limits. If life is getting you down, try a happy place. This could be your favorite beach, comfort food, or trail to hike. Shift your focus from what is not working to what would I like to see working now. My happy place is the Apple Pan in West Los Angeles with its classic hamburgers, fries, fresh- baked apple pies and several types of cream pies. I’ve been eating there since I was twelve years old, which makes it fifty-six years of gastronomical bliss and treasured memories. Of the pies, my first choice is usually the apple pie with ice cream. Then it is chocolate cream. Then, boysenberry cream. I got lucky as they were all available. I thought today I’d try the boysenberry pie. The pies are not too sweet, and their taste lingers in your mouth. The boysenberries were exceptionally intense and bursting with taste. The berry filling was cold and delicious. The house-made whipping cream the perfect compliment to the filling and crust. Can a food be your muse? I think I have met mine.

@#Eliot Crowley is trapped by the latest fire-caused floods that wiped out his little town next to Santa Barbara. We send him love and positive energy. “Magic Gumball Machine” alerted him that there can be photo ops wherever you are in the world. He was able to take this beautiful shot even in this difficult and adverse situation and hopefully his day was much happier as a result. The magic of Bob Stevens will shine on all of us tomorrow.
