Around here, the de Havilland Beaver dominates the backcountry. Its reliable range and amphibious capabilities make it an essential tool for reaching remote areas. I’ve flown in these aircraft countless times for both professional assignments and personal travel—they’re remarkably capable machines.

While the sight of a Beaver resting quietly at the dock is iconic, I wanted an image that emphasized flight and blue. Including the reflection allowed me to shift the focus—more sky, less aircraft—while still honoring the spirit of backcountry aviation.
