While on a trip to India, I found myself in an unprecedented situation: the group we were part of, traveled from city to city in a large white tour bus. This created two aspects I had not anticipated: A large, shiny object which seemed to attract a lot of attention wherever it appeared…and an elevated vantage point from which to shoot. As a result, I created many images ‘looking down’. This one however, was of a passenger in another bus who was at my ‘eye level’. In the heavy traffic, we were less than ten feet apart. As Irving Penn would say, “a moment preserved”.
