Emotions have been running high ever since I made the decision to exit our game, and I was anxious to see the last image I would be responding to. Steve Mason’s Fan Man is alive and well, while living out the remains of his life in front of his fix-it shop. Fan Man is like an anti-hero, making his home in front of his make-shift property, guarding the metropolis stacked up behind him. I had the idea of doing a selfie with some kind of fan in the shot for my final play. I ended up using a timer because I couldn’t hold the fan cover and my camera(phone) simultaneously. I am in my own fix-it shop, my home, with a scary amount of photo paraphernalia I’m going to have to deal with at some point in my life, which I guess is NOW. Then I decided to have Photoshop fun with my favorite color and you see the result of my experimentation. I am now Blue Boy, or maybe the Blue Fan Man. Nevertheless I will always be a true-blue Photogame Fan. Thanks for all the years and great photo conversations!
