This is one of my favorite portraits for my portfolio, non-commercial.  This was shot on an assignment, for a post production company who needed a newly designed outfit photographed in the same position and lighting the was made earlier with a New York photographer.  The outfit design was changed after the real shoot and this one needed to fit in the pre-approved and completed shot. We hired a young girl just starting in the modeling business.  Cant remember the image of the first model, if she  was on a couch or on a bed.  We had a couple of mattresses around from some prior catalog work so we pull one of ` them out, and put a blue sheet on part of it.  I remember telling her that we need her in the exact pose but she did not have to smile cuz we were only using her as a mannequin.  I would go back and changed that phrase now, if I could!  While shooting I realize this image said more than a dress for sale, it was a socially minded portrait of  Young model, starting on her career.  Discovering that the glamour  doesn’t always go with the job.  I got my Mona Lisa shot, or at least I haven’t shot a better one yet.  I hope she found her dreams as well!
