Taxidermist’s Nightmare

It’s curious what people will hang as decor on their walls… disembodied heads of dead animals and apparently clown heads like this one for sale at an antique store. It’s a peculiar affinity, these trophies that fill the emptiness on our walls.

This clown head seems to be friendly enough, but one never knows about clowns. Surely Steven King has shown us the true nature of clowns and that they are not to be trusted. One almost expects this pasty faced piñata to turn its head and start speaking in tongues at us.

The clown head struck me as surreal in this environment and I am always on the lookout for visual curiosities to photograph, this one fits that bill and as a follow up in our visual venture.

I could easily see that had moving. Especially if there wasn’t a light on it. In the shadows that could be a very scary face.
