It’s really amazing to me that while looking for images in the city I will come across something where the shadows are as perfect as I could hope for.  It’s an instant recognition that the capture was meant to be.  Sometimes when the shadows or light is not right, I recompose to make due, and other times I have to return at a different time of day to get the image right.  On a side note, I had a decision to make about cropping.  I can’t seem to leave an image in the format that Canon has provided for me. So while I was trimming the top there was a set of three wire shadows that I considered trimming one off to match the set of two below. In my mind I thought three would be nice to counter balance the two. Then I heard the Art Directors, ADs, that reside in my head say, “Can we just have both options”.  I chuckled and cropped the top so the left side has three wires and the right side has two.  ADs are always right! It’s a little tension that I enjoyed knowing I added.

You must be channeling the 4×5 large format aspect ratio again David
