Sometimes the shadows can be a pleasant surprise only discovered when lighting a subject or observing how light moves around things. An architect once told me that he designs and places his houses around how the light moves on each lot throughout the day. He said he wants his clients to experience each day as different in his homes because of the way the light and shadows move through both the exterior and interior of the structure. As photographers we generally can have more control over the light source and it was interesting to photograph this snow globe Buddha and experiment with light and shadow and their meaning.
