I went back to a place I shot some fun images with the iPhone, the Phoenix Art Museum.  This time I took my larger camera and re-examined what I had found before.  Pretty much a bust, the light was different, my creative juices hadn’t kicked in yet, and you cant reshoot what you discovered once before.  Back into the car for more scouting and air-conditioning.

Scouting for something new visually is always the goal when hunting images.  I ended up at a new studio loft / apartments built from cargo containers.  Lots of rusted metal limited landscaping and gravel.  Thick glass windows and I hope thick walls with tons of insulation. To me it looks like a shelter on Mars.  I suppose Phoenix is Mars for most people 5 months of the year.  Just seems  more like an emergency shelter for solar storms on a research outpost than an inviting home.  These stairs should represent a dismal way out of the heat.
