My view of the world outside my back door at the beach house is always moving and changing. It’s like a live TV show, day and night, with rhythmic sound effects. I often sit in a chair in the yard and just watch the show. Sometimes absolutely nothing is going on out there, and then suddenly a huge fish will jump out in a high arc and splash down. Probably nobody saw it but me. Occasionally things look like they are going to line up, like here, so I’ll break out a long lens. In this case it was my 70-200mm f:2.8 zoomed to 200mm and coupled with a 1.7x extender, making it a 340mm telephoto. A good bit of contrast and color adjustment was done to the file. This image was coincidentally taken one year ago today, so I felt it was appropriate to use it today as my submission for the Daily Photo Game.
