Painting patio furniture might be an odd time to make a photograph, but as I was working on the final coat of paint I stepped back to check the coverage from a different angle. The symmetry of the chairs against the dark green background, sitting on plastic with overspray with dark green grass showing through in areas of the semi-clear backdrop was pleasing and fun to look at. The overcast sky giving soft light to the whole area created a sense of peace and calm. But also noticing that the chairs sitting tightly face to face. A very uncomfortable way to sit if there were people sitting in the chairs. Well, if only one person was sitting in a chair with their feet resting in the seat of the other chair…..Ah… peace restored. Quite often IMHO a feeling that an image evokes is made up of equal parts of Optical Perspective and mental Point Of View.
