Neither the past or the Future exist without the Mind recalling/anticipating them. The Past is gone and the Future is not here yet. All we have is the Present. I especially like that word because the Present is indeed a Gift. Thank you Universe. Research shows that we have 50,000-70,000 thoughts a day. How many are simply ‘Noise’? Osho says, “A dog barks and you remember the dog you had in your childhood, and the dog died….and you start feeling sad. And because of the death of the dog you start thinking about death, and the death of your mother and of your father. And you become angry because you were never at ease with your mother, and there was always conflict. The dog is still barking, completely unaware what he has done!”. The image above is me. I added noise to symbolize this busy place I can become stuck in. Striving for awareness in all my activities helps the ‘Noise’ of my Mind fade away. On this day of the Full Moon, and the anniversary of Buddha’s birth, enlightenment and transition to non-physical, let’s all take a moment to breathe. Deeply and with awareness. Focusing on your inhale and exhale, observe how the voice of your ‘noisy place’ begins to recede. Namaste…
