Christmas Lawn Inflatables

The truck is red, the foliage is green. Looks like Christmas colors to me. There is probably a street like this wherever you live. Thousands of lights on houses…around my neck of the woods it’s called Candy Cane Lane. The 8-10 blocks have been doing this for close to 50 years. Cars parade up and down the streets from dusk until midnight with no headlights on. You take your girl friend there in high school, your kids in their pajamas. I was here during the day shooting the “dead” inflatables collapsed on the lawn, at dusk, and at night. Several vigilantes stopped me and wanted to know what I was doing taking pictures. I’ve wanted to shoot this street for years. For a moment I thought I saw a red truck just like Eliot’s filled with presents.
