The futility of the figure in Blue’s post of the man and the red wall led me to recall “The Myth of Sisyphus”, a classic book on the human condition written by Albert Camus after the Greek legend of the same title. In the story, the protagonist is sentenced to pushing a rock up a hill only to have it roll back on him just as he reaches the top….futility. In my parking garage there is this window of sorts that looks out onto the wall barely a meter away. The shape of this opening resembles the portals in Blue’s red wall image.  At a glance, the opening offers an escape, but it’s no such thing. Rather a route that takes you between two buildings: nowhere. “Wherever You Go, There You Are”.
