I am exhausted from a few months of non stop shooting.  It’s a good exhaustion nevertheless I am tired. At times like this I often question why I continue to shoot for myself, when I have more than enough work to do for clients that are actually paying my rate. Then out of the blue, a curator calls or I get an image request from an agency or it’s my turn to play the Daily Photo Game and I have the perfect photograph in my archives, never before seen by the masses. G-d , it just feels so gratifying to be creatively engaged. I hope I never lose that feeling of taking just one more frame and continue to be inspired to create imagery just because and not for just the “Big Bucks!”

Christopher Flambeaux  is an amazing  fire breather  with a troupe of other engaging  side show inspired  performers that  let me focus my lens on them as they performed at a very lucky 21 year old’s birthday celebration. Fire is such a difficult element to capture especially when adding a human element as well.  Mr Flambeaux was generous with his performance and I didn’t miss the opportunity to create an image just for myself. Most of the guests were busy taking selfies!  I believe I was able to capture the heat as well as the flame in this shot. So happy it found a home on this site.
