Yesterday, I turned into the driveway behind the lab I use and I saw this guy working in an old 70s Dodge van. I grab my camera, I mean, my phone. I first asked him if I could take his picture while he was working. Hacksawing something ‘or other. Crap all over the place. Just what I like to shoot. From the out-of-date moustache he was sporting I would put him in a Jim Croce song in the early 70s. Flashes of Ingrid Croce, his beautiful widowed wife, showing me around her restaurant named, Croce’s. I willfully digress. Marty, he told me his name, I’m Blue. I shook his hand roughened from decades of manual labor. He’s a mobile master locksmith. Literally, time stood still around Marty. I like that slice-of-time-frozen-forever aspect of photography. Marty truly is “Time in a Bottle.”

I thought you were giving us a tool to cut the lizard in half. The lizard looks like it was sliced and the photographed in the yin Yang position.

The iPhone 7+ photography tools work in a pinch when you just have to take a picture. At home, I brought the image into Photoshop. I got rid of the color and thought a more vintage 70s look might play well in the Daily Photo Games’ sandbox. I added some cyan for a mild blueprint duotone. As we in the game frequently say, always have a camera, or phone with you, just for such moments.
I follow Eliot Crowley time with his “Yin and Yang” image. Their little hands were my calling in using the photo I just had taken of Marty, Van Man using his hands. What sort of hands will Bob Stevens engage? Come back tomorrow and see his answer to my shot.
