On one of my trips looking for vintage trailers, I came upon an encampment of mostly retired fellows.  Most were very friendly, but, while friendly, did not want to be photographed in no uncertain terms. This is Dennis and his best friend hangin’ out in the shade of their household, a non-moving camper parked in the desert.  One of the odd things I learned out there, note the refrigerator outside, was that you don’t want the refrigerator inside the air conditioned camper since it builds up the heat load inside.  Don’t need to the cool the cooler cooling the beer. I think this captures the very relaxed pace of living off the grid. Overall a very accommodating group and Dennis insisted his best friend was included in any photo made of him.   Retirement for Dennis and his best friend is good.
