Jennifer Bishop “Light Switch” 3/10/2020
A patch of light is almost always a worthy subject. That this one happened to overlap the light switch endeared me to it even more. This is a corner of my house that I see often. It’s by the washing machine. The orderliness of these functional man made objects struck by a brief wavering burst of sunlight – well, it just melted my heart. I took the picture for my private enjoyment, feeling it too personal, too slight, for anyone but me. But here I am sharing it.
