As I write this I am 9 hours out of San Diego returning from 10 days on the water fishing off the coast of Baja California. This was a fun challenge for me to create an image with little time and the minimum of resources to work with. No amount of pre-trip preparation would have helped. I could not have packed for the unknown or brought enough aboard to carry-out my response once my turn came up. But the one thing that you can find on a fishing boat besides lot of fishing gear is fish. I had just caught this Yellowfin Tuna and I felt it would make a good response to Martin’s “Mask”. Recently I have been doing a lot of macro photography and I’m always delighted with the minute details , details that go unseen to the eye but are so apparent once it is “blown–up”.
