My image for today’s DailyPhotoGame plays with the nature of choice and brings it to a singular point. This image investigates the nature of inflection (change)… the crossroads and the opportunities that choice brings. Andy Grove, Intel’s co-founder, described a strategic inflection point as “an event that changes the way we think and act.” I liked the idea of inflection point, or as Frost would say “…two roads diverged in a wood”, my metaphorical interpretation of this concept stuck with me most of this morning. Robert’s graphic image “Either Or” uses directional arrows to signal a choice, left or straight? My image explores the singular moment of choice, that is to say from one element, two choices – or shadows – are generated. This moment of choice is surely difficult to illustrate, I hope that I have made a valiant attempt to do the idea justice. Two roads, two shadows, two directions diverged from a singular moment, a choice, an inflection point.
