metal studs; stud; construction; no wood; steel studs

I saw this construction site and knew if I didn’t shoot it by the next morning, the image I imagined would be gone. I got up before dark to drive the 40 miles to arrive before any workers. They were making storage spaces. All that you see they put up in one day. Any diagonal metal studs on the site I put in place. And then the workers started showing up….taking a clue from Lewis Hine I said I was shooting for the insurance company. Nobody questioned me. Fortunately I was putting my camera away. The lucky break was the blue sky behind me reflecting in the metal studs. I wanted lines, that’s what motivated me to begin with.
